Defaulted American citizens have started their new social uprising and attacked financial oligarchy of the US and the world focusing on the Wall Street, which is the symbolic and digital bastion of capitalism.
It is so symbolic and digital that it can shift to other new Wall Streets in the world since money is completely speculative and digitial without having any connection to any national identity and border.
The Wall Street has been erected not only upon financial speculations, rent and interest, but from the start, upon accumulated "productive" capital through the exploitation of industrial labour of the US and the world. Behind it, seemingly productive capitalists stand, such as General Motors, General Electrics, Microsoft, Google, Ford among others, by implying that an attack towards financial centers is not sufficient. It is sure, they gain their profits from financial operations that cannot be separated from productive activities.
This means that capitalists search for surplus of any kind and need not produce material commodities. They want a share from total surplus value produced in any place of the world through Wall Street, commerce, oil trade and speculation, weapon or car production. However, the best source of surplus value is the state debts, inflation, bail-outs, which are the nationalization of private capitalists' loses and subsidies offered to them.
Before the twentieth century, it was meaningful for revolutionaries to occupy big banks and expropriate their precious metals, papers and banknotes before they run away. Nowadays, capital achieves the light-like mobility and moves into more docile and profitable places. Occupation of the Wall Street just means further de-industrialization of American economy and its shift to the places such as China and Mexico.
This makes clear that Wall Street is just a symbolic, digital nodal point of global capital, which can find for itself many good places anywhere in the world. However, it occupies a strategic place for American capital which depends on financial profits, monopoly rents, senior position of dollar and the resultant global warfare that tries to guarantee all those monopolistic or extra rents and profits above global average.
American state looks like its citizens. Both are heavily indebted. National debt is accompanied by commercial or credit card and mortgage debts. However, the state bails out only private capitalists to make its citizens and small capitalists roll over their debts to the private capitalists and it finances itself through national debt. Hence, the national debt is the collective debt of the citizens to the private capitalists. The tactic may be on demanding the un-payment of the state debts to the national private capitalists.
However, the foreign holders of American state bonds such as China, Japan, Germany, Russia, Saudi Arabia, i.e, all dollar reserve countries, need financial bastions like the Wall Street and American Treasury. There is a globally interdependent, interconnected exploitation process.
From China, Americans do not only take cheap products produced by the American firms there but also transfer surpluses accumulated through such "developing" places.
Therefore, American working and middle classes have to see that "Occupy Wall Street" cannot be a real, substantial occupation provided that capital is not occupied and re-appropriated by them and that their faith is closely linked to that of the Chinese, Russian, Japanese working classes before global working classes all.
For the beginning, American working class should unite under the federation of socialist and communist parties as well as of trade unions and should demand full nationalization of private firms, banks without return and cancel their debts and should not vote for Republicans or Democrats anymore!
